Wednesday Practice

Looking east from The Deck. My trusty practice partner Echo assisting.
 The Details:

It's 48 at the house. A cool start to the day. I rescheduled my guitar lesson to tomorrow here in Leyden at 11:00 am. Lot's of chores to do today to prepare for our trip to Barcelona on Saturday.

The Practice:

I started with acoustic guitar practice in preparation for the guitar lesson that's coming up tomorrow morning. My guitar skills are coming along but slower than I'd like it to. Perseverance is the name of the game: Just Do It and don't be too concerned about how quickly the skills are coming. Practice simply for the sake of being consistent and the habit of practicing.

I went out to The Deck to practice around mid-morning.

I started with a full round of The 10+ striving to be as consistent as possible. I focused on overall health and longevity, breathing, relaxed balance, coordination, strength and mobility.

Next I did a Round (left side). I recited the Taiji Classics during Part I. I tuned into the opening and closing of my Kua and Spine.

Next I did a brief Standing PT and Healing Qigong.

Next I did a round of Cheng Style Old 8 Palms Form focused on Mud-Wadding Step at the start and then switched to Lion Walk as it's easier on my left achilles tendon. I skipped #5 and had to go back and get it. This form combines Standing PT upper body with Baguazhang circle walking lower body.

Next I did a round of Anyo Walo. I focused on using quality basics with full extension and more focus, speed and pop.

Next I did a round of Sanchin Kata tuned into connecting my breathing (abdominal) with my strkes.

I'm finishing with journaling my practice to this blog.

Any feedback is welcomed. Just email me....Thanks!
