The Photo:
This shot was taken a few minutes before the sunrise at 7:19. Low tide was at 9:57. It was in the 40's at home but I suspect it was more like the low 50's on the beach. I wasn't cold at all. The wind was light but steady from the east. There was plenty of hard packed sand to practice on.
The Practice:
I had limited time this morning, because I have a standing meeting with Jeff from 8-9 on Friday mornings and the sunrise was at 7:19, so it was tight. I got down to the beach about 10-15 minutes before sunrise (to get the best color). Per usual, I started to practice as soon as I got my camera gear set up; I did a warm up using The 10+, interspersed with shooting the sunrise.
Next I did a Round (left side) attempting to stay 'inside' and not get distracted by folks and cars on the beach. Another focus was simply to keep my eye's on the horizon.
I ran out of time as I had a meeting at 8 and I needed to use the 'little boys room'!
I went grocery shopping at Gaff's in Port Orange after meeting with Jeff.
