Opposing Movement as applied to the spine in Standing Meditation with Sifu J. R. Roy

This is the first lesson on applying the concept/principle of Opposing Movement to the spine.

THE best place (IMHO) to start this training is in Standing Meditation (I Ch'uan).
*The basic Wuji position with you arms down by your side.
*Focus on the plumb alignment of your spine.
*Release any tension down, especially in the lower spine,
*Encourage a lifting feeling on the top of you head.
*Cultivate an opening of your spine
*Vertebrae float on each other

Head up (light)
Tailbone down (heavy)

Opposing Movement =
Spine ever so slightly stretched
Vertebrae will 'float' on each other!
