Saturday Practice - World T'ai Chi Day -

Sensei Jeff in the red hooded jacket and a few of the hardy souls!! Trying to stay warm and dry!

It's 'World Tai Chi Day' so I'll be practicing with the group at Dial Self on Federal Street in Greenfield MA 10-11:30am. If you are reading this I hope you can join us! It's a FREE community event open to all levels. No experience needed!

I'll write a bit about the event this afternoon:

Just back from the event. It was cold and raining!! But still close to a dozen dedicated folks showed up to practice in the rain.

Jeff did a good job with handling the crowd and delivery of the material. He focused on breathing in and expanding the ball (between your palms)  and breathing out and compressing the ball. Then he added the other 6 gua; The two shoulder nests, the two hips (Kua), the two Bubbling Spring Points on the feet.

He then showed a few two person drills to fine tune the feeling of expanding and contracting (opening and closing) Note: Both should be done with release!

Busy day...We have inoculations (shots) to get for our up coming trip to southeast Asia, then a Meet and Greet in Westfield at At the Waters Edge dive shop later this afternoon and then out to dinner with Gerri and George for Gerri's 66th birthday.

Whew!!

Life is Full;^)
